Please join me on the Theatre Colorado Team for this year’s Alzheimer’s Memory Walk on September 20, 2008 at City Park in Denver. I bet you know someone who’s been affected by Alzheimer’s. Most of us do. I learned today that every 71 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It’s the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.

When I learned about the walk I got the idea form a team representing the theater community here in Denver, so I’m starting on that this week. And really, how hard could it be? It’s a 2-3 mile walk on a Saturday morning in the fall. This isn’t a marathon we’re talking about. But consider the marathon that those battling Alzheimer’s and their families are facing today.
